How do I activate my subscription?

Once you complete your purchase, you will receive an email with an activation code. Open or create your database, click on Settings in the main sidebar (expand the main menu on mobile) and choose Plan and Billing. You will be able to enter your activation code here.

What is the difference between a person and a user?

A person is anyone you assign or check out assets to. A user is someone that logs in to your Assetbots database. If you think of Assetbots as a library, a person is a patron that checks out books, while a user is a librarian.

What is a database?

A database is the container for all of your data, including assets, people, locations, checkouts, reports, and everything else. You can create as many databases as you would like, but paid plans are applied to each database individually.

What is an asset?

An asset is any valuable thing you want to keep track of. Some common examples include computers, cameras, office equipment like copy machines, vehicles, tools, and so on. If you have something valuable and you would like keep a record of it, then it is an asset.

What is a bot?

A bot is an automated workflow that performs custom actions on your database. Bots can be configured to send emails and text messages, automatically apply labels, check in lost assets, set default due dates, and more.

What is a location?

A location is any place with a name. You can assign assets to a location like Conference Room or to a place like Main Office, 24 W Camelback Rd #A481, Phoenix, AZ 85013.

How do I import my assets, people and locations?

If you are tracking your asset data in another system, you can import that data into Assetbots. Click the More actions button (three vertical dots) in the asset, person or location list and choose Import data.

How do I upgrade to a paid plan?

If you already have an Assetbots database that you would like to upgrade to a paid plan, navigate to the Settings tab in the main sidebar (expand the main menu on mobile) and click on Plan and Billing. You can purchase or activate a paid plan here.

How do I downgrade or cancel my plan?

Open your Assetbots database, navigate to the Settings tab in the main sidebar (expand the main menu on mobile) and click on Plan and Billing. You can change or cancel your plan here.

Can I get a discount?

Yes! We are happy to offer a 25% discount to non-profits and public education institutions. Please contact us so we can help you out.

Will existing customers be exempt from price increases?

Yes. We will raise our prices from time to time to reflect the value offered by Assetbots as its capabilities grow. Existing customers will always be able to stay on their existing plans. We try our best to include new features in existing plans, but cannot guarantee that we always can.
