A new template is available when generating asset tags for printing: Avery® Tamper-Evident NoPeel™ L6145. This template generates 45.7 x 25.4 mm tags, 40 per sheet. The template uses A4 sheets with tamper-evident, permanent adhesive, and can be printed with a standard laser printer.

Welcome to July and a roundup of updates and improvements from your friends at Assetbots!

We’ve been hard at work and have delivered many improvements over the last month, but here are some highlights that should make your daily asset management tasks just a little easier.

Manage Repairs in the API

The Assetbots API now supports creating and completing repairs. Integrate repair workflows with your external or existing systems.

Once a repair has been created, you can move it to a different status just like you would in the Assetbots application.

Add Assets to Reservations On-Demand During Checkout

When checking out a reservation, any assets added on-demand will now be added to the reservation, as well as to the checkout.

It has always been possible to add assets to the checkout created from a reservation on-demand, but it wasn’t very clear when working through the audit trail that this had happened. Now those assets become part of the reservation as well for additional clarity.

Avery® Presta® 94749 Label Template

This template generates ½” x 2 ½” barbell labels, 45 per sheet. The template uses US letter sheets with multiple material options available and can be printed with a standard laser printer.

Avery® Presta® 94749 can be purchased easily from the US, and are useful for labeling cables and other small, flexible items.

Our Google Workspace integration keeps getting better! You can now enable two-way sync for your ChromeOS devices and automate even more workflows right from within Assetbots.

Head over to your Google Workspace integration to enable 2-way sync. Once you enable ChromeOS device sync, you will have the option to sync the following back to your Google Workspace account when they are updated in Assetbots:

• Assignments: When devices are checked-in or checked out, we can automatically update the Annotated User in Google Workspace with the email address of the related person.
• Asset Tag ID: Let Assetbots generate (or re-generate) asset tag IDs and sync those back to the device’s Annotated Asset ID.
• Organizational Unit Path: Update in Assetbots and sync back to Google Workspace, unlocking the potential for advanced automated profile and policy updates.

Combined with Bot automations, these 2-way sync capabilities can unlock some powerful, time-saving workflows for you and your team.

This template generates ¾” x 1 ½” tags, 40 per sheet. The template uses US letter sheets with multiple material options available and can be printed with a standard laser printer.

You can now customize which devices are synced from Mosyle by whitelisting one or more Mosyle device tags to sync. This is a powerful way to unlock some advanced scenarios with our Mosyle integrations.

To sync a subset of devices, visit your Mosyle integration page in Settings > Integrations > Mosyle Fuse and Mosyle Business or Mosyle OneK12 and Mosyle Manager. Scroll to the bottom of the Setup section to find a new Mosyle Tags section.

Here you can add one or more tags, which will limit your sync to only devices with any of the tags applied in Mosyle.

There are many scenarios where limiting which devices sync is useful, but two examples we see often are:

1. You are an MSP or manage device inventory for multiple companies or departments, and you would like to sync each company’s or department’s devices to a separate Assetbots database.
2. You are a school or district and would like to sync each school’s devices to a different database or would like to limit syncing to only e.g. student devices.

We’re excited to announce a HUGE update to our Google Workspace integration! You can now sync your Chromebooks (ChromeOS devices) and mobile devices from your Google Workspace account into Assetbots as assets!
